Guided practices for reflection and wellbeing
Speed Slow Down offers mindfulness, gentle movement, and restorative experiences. Participants can enjoy guided art appreciation, gallery meditations, and wellness activities such as yoga, Tai Chi, and sound baths. Look for invitations throughout the museum to slow down, look a little longer, and practice presence. The program is designed for adults, families, and multigenerational visitors. See below for more information about this month’s movement session.

August Programming: Pilates Sculpt with Rashna Carmicle from B.YOU Fitness

This Mat Pilates class is a dynamic, full‑body workout that focuses on core strength, alignment, and mindful movement. Expect a flowing sequence of mat‑based exercises that blend classical Pilates principles with fresh, modern variations to challenge your muscles, improve your mobility and balance, and deepen body awareness.

We’ll move to music, explore intentional breath, and layer options for all levels, so you can customize the intensity to match your energy. You’ll leave feeling longer, stronger, and more grounded—ready to carry that strength and ease into the rest of your day.

Rashna Carmicle is the founder and creative force behind B.YOU Fitness. A former competitive gymnast and cheerleader, she has spent years developing unique, women‑focused fitness methods that blend athletic training with artistry and fun.

With a background in marketing and public relations, Rashna brings both business savvy and heart to her work—designing signature formats, mentoring instructors across the country, and cultivating an inclusive, uplifting studio community. She believes movement is medicine and loves helping clients discover strength, confidence, and joy in their bodies.
