Mosaic Relief Painting
Facilitated by Liz Richter
Participants will explore the concept of tactile art with Liz Richter, who recently led an artist’s team in creating a large, multi-sensory ceramic installation in the Clifton neighborhood. Liz will discuss her work with students at the Kentucky School for the Blind and lead participants in creating mosaic relief wall hangings using found objects and recycled materials.
Bio: Liz Richter is an artist, illustrator and educator living and working in Louisville, KY. She unites exuberant color and illustrative forms with symbolism and storytelling. Richter’s public art grew from combining her self-taught painting and drawing practice with her experience as an educator to tell stories that connect people and uplift communities.
