Stay up late with us at the Speed! On the third Friday of each month, the Museum will be open until 10 pm. Each After Hours event comes alive with an eclectic mix of music, performances, cash bar + food available by Wiltshire at the Speed, and of course art! Come experience the Speed after hours like you’ve never experienced it before.

5 – 7 pm: Creativity Challenge: Art-making activity for all ages! Education Court
5 – 10 pm: American Institute of Architects: Kentucky model display Atrium
6 – 6:15 pm: Remarks by Fred Bucher, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Spectrum Reach Grand Hall
6 pm: Speed Cinema screening of Raise Hell: The Life and Times of Molly Ivins (tickets sold separately)
6 – 8 pm: Oracle card readings English Renaissance Room
6:15 – 7 pm: Director’s Cut Panel Conversation featuring Fred Bucher of Spectrum Reach and Kulapat Yantrasast, the architect behind the Speed’s recent renovation, on his first visit back since our 2016 reopening! Grand Hall
6:30 pm – Tour of Design Unveiled, highlighting special objects within the Speed’s permanent collection, led by curator Scott Erbes Gallery 2
7 – 8 pm: Murder Mystery Tour through the permanent collection Gallery 3
8:30 – 9:30 pm: Readings from some of Hunter S. Thompson’s most famous and inflammatory writings with actor Marc Mahone Loft Gallery
8:30 – 9:15 pm: Musician Brigid Kaelin plays the saw, accompanied by Steve Cooley 1927 Building
