Turn back the clock with us at the Speed! On the third Friday of each month, the Museum will be open until 10 pm. Each After Hours event comes alive with an eclectic mix of music, performances, cash bar + food available by Wiltshire at the Speed, and of course art! Come experience the Speed after hours like you’ve never experienced it before.

5 – 10 pm: Learn more about what’s happening in Louisville at the Do502 booth Atrium
5 – 7 pm: Family Programming: Classical Corner, featuring orchestra conducting with the Compass Quartet, a drum circle, and an instrument petting zoo with Jecorey Arthur of 90.5 WUOL as well as an instrument-making art activity Education Court
5:30 – 8:30 pm: Art Time Machine: Explore the galleries chronologically, from Ancient World to 21st Century, with a different period/gallery every half hour! Meet at the Grand Staircase in Gallery 3 every half hour
6 pm: WUOL’s Bourbon Baroque, performing nationally diverse music from the early 17th century through the late 18th century on historical instruments, Location TBD
6 and 8 pm: Screenings of Amazing Grace (tickets sold separately) Speed Cinema
6:30 pm: “Stories and Songs of Love and Horror” – an intimate performance with Will Oldham (limited capacity and seating available first come, first serve) Tapestry Gallery
8 – 9 pm: Musical performance from The Jesse Lees, who will premiere a selection of brand new originals, then time travel back through songs that have influenced their present day sound. Grand Hall
9 – 10 pm: JPB and JP Source, hosts of WFPK’s new late-night show, The The Constellation, will venture back to 90’s Dayglow Rave Era with an hour long DJ set. Grand Hall
