2025/2026 Programming Changes
The Speed Art Museum is making some difficult but necessary changes to our programs and operations as we navigate a challenging financial moment. Like many cultural institutions, we’ve had to make adjustments that affect both public programs and staff positions. While some offerings and member benefits are shifting, our commitment to connecting people through art remains steadfast.
Check out our events calendar for our current offerings by date!
Some member benefits and complimentary access to certain events will shift during this transition. We understand this is hard to hear and thank you for your patience as we navigate these necessary changes. Your support — as a visitor, member, or donor — matters now more than ever. Together, we can ensure that your Speed continues to inspire, connect, and enrich our community for generations to come.
Free Sundays
For many years, the Speed Art Museum has welcomed visitors free of charge every Sunday, thanks to the generosity of donors who believed in making art accessible to all. That generosity has made a lasting impact—opening the doors to thousands of guests each year. However, as funding has decreased, we are no longer able to offer free admission every Sunday. Beginning January 2026, Free Sunday will take place once each month.
Your admission and membership fees, and generous donations help sustain the Museum—supporting the care of the collection, the presentation of exhibitions, and the welcoming environment that makes the Speed a place for everyone to enjoy art together.
Other programs in transition
We’re currently reviewing and updating the following offerings to ensure the Museum’s programs remain vibrant, financially sustainable, and aligned with our mission to connect people with art. Please refer to our events calendar for the most up-to-date listing of exhibitions, lectures, Cinema screenings, and more.
- K-12 tours and university tours are currently on hold. We’re taking this time to reimagine how the Speed can best welcome and inspire students through art. We anticipate school tours will return in early 2026, if not sooner.

- Creative-making programs
