Speed Inspired

At the Speed Art Museum, we invite everyone to celebrate art forever.

The arts provide the opportunities for inspiration, reflection, and connection needed now more than ever.

The Speed Inspired series invites local actors, creative writers, dancers, musicians, poets, visual artists, and creatives of all kinds to produce an original work in response to artworks from the Speed’s permanent collection. This series shines a light upon artists in our community and opens up new conversations around creativity, inspiration, and artistic process using the Speed’s artistic treasures for inspiration, while Speed’s curatorial staff provide comment to offer historical and cultural context. We hope this series produces joy, thoughtful moments, and an inspired opportunity to connect with each other through art.

We look forward to celebrating the possibilities that exist within this invitation.
