After Hours at the Speed

Evening hours are back at the Speed! On the Third Friday of every month, the Museum will be open until 10 pm. Each After Hours event comes alive with an eclectic mix of music, performances, cash bar + food available by Wiltshire at the Speed, and of course art! Come experience the Speed after hours like you’ve never experienced it before. March’s exciting events include: 

Starting at 5 pm Cash Bar, Atrium and Cinema Lobby

5-8:30 pm Dinner by Wiltshire at the Speed, Atrium
Irish Hand Pie | Cabbage Rolls | Potato-Haricot Salad | Fries While supplies last.

6 pm Lecture by the Consul General of France, Guillaume Lacroix, Grand Hall, Seating is limited. First come, first served.
Lacroix will discuss France’s new president, legislative changes and goals for the country, immigration issues, and the economy.

6 pm Fresh Look Tours by University Docents, Gallery 1

7 pm Speed Cinema Screening: Leaning into the Wind: Andy Goldsworthy ($7 members / $9 non-members)

7 pm Orchestra Enigmatic chamber ensemble presents the music of women Impressionist composers, 3rd Floor North Lobby

7:45 pm Fresh Look Tours by University Docents, Gallery 1

8 pm Live music by The Deloreans, Grand Hall

8:15 pm Director’s Cut: Women Artists on Women Artists, Join the Speed Art Museum director, Stephen Reily, in a conversation with Louisville artists Vian Sora and Tiffany Calvert, 3rd Floor North exhibition

9 pm DJ Matt Anthony and Friends, Grand Hall

Free for members / $18 non-members – Includes admission to the blockbuster painting exhibition, Women Artists in the Age of Impressionism.
