Museum Store Submissions


Please read the following carefully before submitting.

The Speed Art Museum Store Committee periodically reviews Artist submissions for our Museum Store. Selection for final consideration is based on the needs of the Museum Store uniqueness of the product, and relation to our museum collection and educational programs.

If you wish to submit work for consideration, you must follow the guidelines listed below. Submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be considered.

Also, please be aware that because of the large volume of unsolicited submissions we receive, we cannot, and will not, personally respond or offer you a review of your materials.

Via Email

Artist submissions are only accepted via email with the subject line “Submissions.” Include images (minimum of 6) or an artist website for initial evaluation.

We accept original works in ceramic, glass, wood, mixed media, jewelry, metal, and textiles. Acceptable two-dimensional works of art include photography, limited editions, fine prints, and lithographs. Acceptable forms of non-craft items include books, home décor, fine design objects, kitchenware, fashion accessories, children’s toys and games. Unfortunately, we cannot offer any original art for sale.

  • Digital images (JPEG, or PDF, please- no files larger than 2MB)
  • Image title, date, medium, and dimensions of each work
  • $ Retail price range
  • Artist statement, CV

File names must be saved in this format: LastName_Title-of-Artwork.jpg

Include this descriptive info within the body of the email, not as a separate attachment. Also include your complete contact information (your name, mailing address, phone number, email and website address).

The work should be recent, and available for sale.

Do not submit work that is not available, and please be accurate with regards to retail pricing, as these are a consideration in our jury process. Once accepted, adjustments are not possible, and changes are subject to disqualification. Once disqualified, you may be barred from future participation.

Please do not send samples unless specifically requested as they cannot be returned. We are not responsible for any lost items nor are we obliged to return materials or respond to your inquiry.

These submissions may be sent to: with “Submissions” in the subject line. It is not necessary to send a follow up email. We will contact you only if we are interested.

Email submissions that do not follow this format will not be reviewed.
