Artists and art-lovers 55 or better are welcome to join us for a free jewelry-making class. Each of the three sessions includes 8 classes. Participants will have the opportunity to share their final pieces at a culminating fashion show.
The Speed’s Platinum Collective is a community of energetic and curious people (aged 55+) who connect over art, shared experiences, and conversations. Participants engage in a series of workshops over 8 classes that culminate in an exhibition/event at the Speed Art Museum.
- Registration is free and materials will be provided.
- These sessions are part of grant-related outreach. Session I is welcome to Black/African American participants age 55+, Session II is welcome to those who identify as Refugees/Immigrants age 55+, and Session III is welcome to anyone age 55+ who would like to participate.
- If space permits, we will open Sessions I and II to additional races and ethnicities.
- Parking is free and TARC vouchers can be provided upon request.
- 100% attendance is recommended, although accommodations will be made if a participant needs to miss a class.
- Each session is limited to 20 participants so sign up soon!
- Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 pm to 2 pm.
