“Portraits without People”
Creating realistic portraits of the human face can be intimidating, frustrating, and even embarrassing. This workshop provides several classroom techniques to help students create portraits of people… without any people in them! For inspiration we take a museum tour of Alma Lesch’s clothes portraits, Ebony G. Patterson’s collage with invisible bodies, and Feliz Gonzales Torres’ deeply personal piles of candy.
