Sylvia Beach was a brilliant American woman who made a significant impact on the literary world. She is best known for founding Shakespeare and Company, a renowned English-language bookshop in Paris, and featured in our exhibition Brilliant Exiles: American Women in Paris, 1900-1939. Join us to learn more about Sylvia and enjoy mini performances throughout the day with Kentucky Shakespeare. This program is included with general admission.
Kentucky Shakespeare is pleased to share scenes from their A Midsummer Night’s Dream tour. “The course of true love never did run smooth” in Shakespeare’s comedy of mistaken identity, magical mischief, and best-laid plans gone awry.
