Cyanotypes: The Magic of Alternative Photography

Teaching Artist: Kevin Rose Schultz

Explore alternative process photography with cyanotypes.  Sir John Hershel invented this process in 1842.  Today, global artists are exploring new and modern ways to use this medium. Artist Kevin Rose Schultz will guide students through printing with this historical photo process on watercolor paper and vintage paper.  Learn dry and wet techniques for making one-of-a-kind prints with nature and textiles.  Participants may bring their own flat materials for printing (pressed plants, lace, paper cutouts, and small negatives), but all materials will be provided for printing.
