This incredible little study is sitting in storage, awaiting someone who will come along and help restore it to its original glow!
There are heavy, black grime deposits on the surface of the painting; all dirt and greasy grime will be removed. Once that’s done, we can assess the state of the existing varnish, and it will be added or replaced as necessary.
The painting requires a new, appropriate frame, which will be made by our in-house framemaker. It’s a little jewel of a painting which deserves to be out in the galleries!
