On a cross-country trip traveling 24 cities, artist and professor Willie Baronet purchased more than 275 signs held up by homeless people. In this documentary capturing the trip, Baronet and his crew create connections between the sign makers and their lives.
Baronet has purchased more than 1,000 signs over the past 20 years, and uses the collection to create installations that raise awareness about homelessness. The trip culminates in an exhibition at New York University. 2016, U.S., video, 62 minutes.
The director will introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion. Willie Baronet is based in Dallas, Texas.
