Co-presented by the Louisville Film Society, local filmmakers will present short works of fifteen minutes or less followed by questions and comments from the audience.

A $500 jury prize will be awarded for the top film of the evening.

An 18-step scavenger hunt for people loneliest in their own homes. This animated video collage serves as a survival guide and an ode to the imaginations that protect us.  8 minutes.

Aquae Vitae

Two lovers find a mysterious bottle in the middle of their lake. Once shared with another pair of lovers, the bottle causes a specific effect to those you share it. 10 minutes.

Piper Pence and the Pandemic

Piper Pence is isolated by herself at home during a worldwide zombie pandemic. She spends her days trying to stay safe, stay sane and stay entertained. After months in isolation, when the situation begins to feel somewhat normal, the threat comes closer to home than ever before and Piper must defend her sanctuary for the first time. 12 minutes.

Roses

This is the debut music video for Louisville band Nolia Noon with its song, Roses. The video features singer/guitarist Jared Foos as a young man who is left heartbroken when his longtime girlfriend played by Lilly Cotton leaves him for a rich guy. She has regrets but Jared moves on. 4 minutes.

The Big (Deep) Sleep

A poetic reflection on anomie and desire, experienced through the vernacular of pulp-noir. As nightfall unravels into a surreal fever dream, the landscape pitches into unrest. Whose interests steer us through the dark night of the soul? 6 minutes.

The Contradictory Couple

How do you express your love? Some couples express it through argument. In this romantic dramedy, Charlotte and Edward argue their way through the evening, oblivious to the potential boulder of life over their heads. 13 minutes.

The Synthetics

The Louisvillian band The Synthetics reminisces their road trip to New York City thirty years earlier to obtain a record deal that leads to their debut music video on MTV. 7 minutes. 

This twice-yearly program offers a great opportunity to view works by established and emerging filmmakers from the region. Running time: approximately 90 minutes. Recommended for 16+
