Brilliant Blooms is an art in bloom 3-day program showcasing creative floral displays inspired by works of art. The three-day celebration brings together the talents of floral artists from across Louisville, showcasing their vibrant and innovative floral designs inspired by the museum’s collection.
The Brilliant Blooms floral displays are included with general admission.
Public Open Hours and Programming during Brilliant Blooms:
Friday May 9
10 AM – 5 PM: Open viewing within the galleries
5:30 – 7:30 PM: Brilliant Blooms Reception, ticketed separately
Join us for an evening of music, drinks, and florals! This special event is open to the public and includes live music from Carly Johnson Jazz Duet, access to Brilliant Exiles: American Women in Paris, 1900-1939, and one drink ticket ($11 value). Don’t miss this brand new event at the Speed and dress in your floral best. 🌸
Saturday May 10
10 AM – 5 PM: Open viewing within the galleries
Sun. May 11 | Mother’s Day at the Speed
10 AM – 5 PM: Opening viewing within the galleries.
12 PM – 3 PM: Additional Programming includes: art-making opportunities, a cash bar available, and in-house music.

Throughout Brilliant Blooms weekend, we invite you to enjoy a delicious lunch in our café, est. 1927 by Marigold from 10 AM –3 PM, which will include some floral-inspired specials throughout the weekend.
