After Hours at the Speed

Evening hours are back at the Speed! On the Third Friday of every month, the Museum will be open until 10 pm. Each After Hours event comes alive with an eclectic mix of music, performances, cash bar + food available by Wiltshire at the Speed, and of course art! Come experience the Speed after hours like you’ve never experienced it before. April’s exciting events include: 

Starting at 5 pm Dinner by Wiltshire at the Speed Atrium
Tacos, Mexican Street Corn, Rock Shrimp Ceviche, Guacamole with Corn Tortilla Chips While supplies last.

5 – 10 pm Cash Bar Atrium, Cinema Lobby, Museum Store
Featured drink: Old Forester Sparkler Old Forester, Angostura bitters, Ginger Ale, Garnished with a long lemon peel

5:30 & 7:45 pm Fresh Look Gallery Tours by University Docents Gallery 1

6 pm Lecture by artist Ebony G. Patterson for the inaugural Alfred R. Shands III and Mary N. Shands Masters Series

6 pm Speed Cinema screening of EX LIBRIS—The New York Public Library ($7 members / $9 non-members)

7 pm Gallery Talk by Curator Kim Spence Gallery 1

8 pm Live music by RLYR Grand Hall

8:15 pm Director’s Cut: Women of Color on Women Artists in the Age of Impressionism – Director Stephen Reily in conversation with Ramona Lindsey and Claudia Peralta-Mudd (3rd Floor North)

9 pm Live music by Fotocrime Grand Hall
