DESCRIPTION:Speed Salon: Talks + Theory  \nA quarterly Wednesday for curious minds and cultural conversation  \nCost: $20/non-member adult\, $15/member adult\, $5/student \nREGISTER\nJoin us as we mark the Speed Art Museum’s first official repatriation under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). This Speed Salon brings together Chester Whiteman and Fred Mosqueda\, tribal representatives of the Southern Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes\, in conversation with Sirene Martin\, Assistant Curator and NAGPRA Coordinator. The discussion will be moderated by Erika Holmquist-Wall\, Chief Curator and Mary and Barry Bingham Sr. Curator of European and American Paintings and Sculpture. \nThrough this conversation\, visitors will learn about NAGPRA\, the repatriation process\, and the significance of returning Native American Ancestors and cultural belongings to their rightful communities.
