Each session features a presentation followed by Q&A\, offering attendees the chance to think deeply\, ask questions\, and engage with contemporary ideas and creative work. The program is designed for adults\, students\, and those who enjoy focused discussion in a supportive environment.  \nGallery admission is not included.  \nSpeaker: Negarra A. Kudumu \nNegarra A. Kudumu is an independent scholar and curator of contemporary art. Her curatorial interests focus on Afro-Surrealism\, Black Abstraction\, contemporary art from the Pacific Northwest\, Africa\, South Asia\, and their respective diasporas. Her scholarly interests focus on African Diasporic spiritual traditions of the Americas namely Palo Monte\, Conjure (also known as Hoodoo)\, and Haitian Vodou. More recently\, her interests have taken a turn towards philosophy (Hegel)\, Christian theology (Barth)\, and notions of wretchedness and betrayal (Fanon) as a way to better explain the conditions within which the aforementioned traditions developed\, the particular environment they sought to intervene upon\, and the specific category of tools they used to intervene upon said environment. \n \n
