DESCRIPTION:REGISTER\n\nInstructor: Stephen Batiz\n“Moment in Time” \n\n\n\nBio: Stephen Batiz is a self-taught painter\, illustrator\, and installation artist exploring the spaces between isolation and connection. Through painting\, drawing\, and interactive experiences\, he creates work that invites people to slow down\, participate\, and reflect on their own presence in the world. Rooted in curiosity and experimentation\, Batiz’s practice transforms personal symbolism and material exploration into shared moments of recognition and connection.\n\nDescription: Inspired by Kentucky cabinetmaker William Lowry’s remarkable tall clock\, participants will design and build a working clock with a creative twist. Like Lowry’s clock\, which transforms from a daytime to a nighttime scene\, your clock will feature a moving element that changes as time passes. Using simple materials commonly found at home\, we will create one-of-a- kind functional artworks. No prior experience is required- just curiosity and creativity.
