University of Louisville’s Repertory Company presents Zomo the Rabbit: a Hip-Hop Creation Myth by Psalmeyne24.
Directed by Sidney Monroe Williams.
Zomo the Rabbit: a Hip–Hop Creation Myth is a remix of a West African trickster tale. Zomo, a young rapping rabbit on a quest for power, learns the creative value of cooperation and unwittingly creates the culture of hip-hop.
This interactive show fuses hip-hop music, playful costumes and Louisvillian landmarks that are sure to entertain and engage young people. In addition, our production includes a study guide with teaching strategies and a talk back to support the themes of the show.
