5:40 pm | Curator Conversation with Kim Spence and Dr. Gerald Smith, professor at University of Kentucky and an expert on Kentucky African American history from the frontier to the present.
6:05 pm | Students from the University of Louisville’s Theatre Arts Department, under the direction of Assistant Professor Sidney Monroe Williams, will present a Hollywood-style Virtual Table Read of selections from Bert Hurley’s novella Loose Nuts: A Rapsody in Brown, complete with period costumes to help fully immerse us into Bert’s world. Starring: Caisey Cole, Tyler Tate, and Aliyah Brutley, featuring costumes by Melissa Kenney Shepherd.
6:25 pm | Poetry Readings from Lipstick Wars Poetry, a platform created to give ALL women and girls a profound voice through the art of slam poetry.

6:40 pm | Director’s Cut: Stephen Reily will be joined by Jeana Dunlap and Lynnett Glass, Community Investment Specialists with the Louisville Coordinated Community Investment Project, to explore connections between Loose Nuts: Bert Hurley’s West End Story – which depicts a thriving and glamorous West Louisville in 1933 – and community development in Louisville today.
