Cut a rug and welcome in the ’20s at After Hours! To celebrate our 93rd Birthday, we’re going all out with a Roaring ’20s Birthday Bash!
Every third Friday, the Museum will be open until 10 pm. Each After Hours event comes alive with an eclectic mix of music, performances, cash bar + food available by Wiltshire at the Speed, and of course art! Come experience the Speed after hours like you’ve never experienced it before.

5 – 7 pm: Art-making activity for all ages! Education Court
5 – 10 pm: Take an old-school tintype photo with River City Tintype. (NOTE: Reservations for photos are SOLD OUT, but a waiting list will be available at the event.) Atrium
6 pm: Speed Cinema screening of The Disappearance of My Mother (tickets sold separately) Cinema

6 – 6:45 pm: Enjoy Prohibition-era songs about “illegal hooch and immoral women” with musical duo Rannygazoo! Grand Staircase
6:30 – 7:30 pm: Tour of Tales from the Turf with Dr. James Claypool exploring the history of racing in Kentucky, specifically during the 19th century. 3rd Floor North
7 – 10 pm: Dance the old decade away with Louisville Silent Disco! Education Court
7:30 – 8:15 pm: A second performance from musical duo Rannygazoo! Atrium
7:45 – 10:10 pm: Screening of Fritz Lang’s 1927 film, Metropolis. (Film is free with admission to After Hours.) Cinema
8:45 – 10 pm: Musical performance from Small Time Napoleon Atrium
