Faced with expensive, debilitating surgery, director Robin Burke sought out an aqua therapy pool in Louisville. Affirming and quiet, sorrowful, and joyous, ripples and pools honors and celebrates the unexpected healing powers of water and community.

The warm saltwater pool at the Home of the Innocents brings together people of all ages, races, genders, and social strata to rejuvenate and address their health issues. In this short film, Burke shows the compassion and regenerative spirit the pool provides to many across the city. 2022, U.S., DCP, 32 minutes. Recommended for all ages.
