Co-presented by the Louisville Film Society, local filmmakers will present short works of fifteen minutes or less followed by questions and comments from the audience.

This twice-yearly program offers a great opportunity to view works by established and emerging filmmakers from the region. Running time: approximately 90 minutes. Recommended for 16+

While returning a lost journal, a forgettable young man uncovers his own sexuality and summons the courage to tell his father. 13 minutes.

A man copes with his loneliness by befriending a piñata. 6 minutes.

In These Times
Directed by Remington Smith
Shot on 16mm and digital cameras in the summer of 2020, this dialogue-free short documentary reveals the personal and public experiences of Louisville, KY’s battle with the coronavirus and police brutality in the wake of Breonna Taylor’s killing by the LMPD. 3 minutes.

Prokofiev on the Ohio: Cinderella’s Dream

If Cinderella somehow had a dream about the Ohio River, it might have looked something like this. As the director observed the movement of various boats, barges and birds on the river, the grace, beauty, and athleticism of ballet always came to mind. A fantasy world filled with motion on the water. 4 minutes.

I Remember Dancing
Directed by Ethan Osman
In this collaborative piece the director instructed a composer, musician, dancer to separately create layers of performance for a film. Ethan then animated a section based on one layer of music and merged all layers together to create this film. Made in quarantine between March 2020-December 2020. Created with Carrie Neumayer, Clayton Ray, and Ashley Thursby. 3 minutes.

Jerry Green and Friends

Local musician and nightclub owner Jerry Green reflects on over 20 years in the music business and observes his interpretation of success. 11 minutes.
