The Speed Concert Series is presented with funds from the Hattie Bishop Speed Music Trust. For more than 65 years the Speed Concert series has presented classical music to Louisville audiences including highly acclaimed artists such as Emanuel Ax, Leontyne Price, Olga Kern, Dawn Upshaw, Alicia de Larrocha, Jessye Norman and Midori.

In a partnership with the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts we present Mother Falcon and Ben Sollee. Mother Falcon is an orchestral rock band from Austin, Texas, known for their wide-ranging instrumentation and collaborative songwriting. Formed by bandleader Nick Gregg in 2008, the group has grown to include a collective of up to twenty musicians playing strings, horns, guitars, and percussion.

Enjoy a cine-concert of the originally released 1922 silent film, Eine Symphonie Des Grauens. Director F.W. Murnau's chilling and eerie adaption of Stoker's Dracula is a silent masterpiece of terror which to this day is the most striking and frightening portrayal of the vampire legend. The Louisville Orchestra’s very own Teddy Abrams, will compose and play an original score for cine-concert.
