A tax-deductible membership helps to support our mission
to discover, together with its communities the joy and
power of great art. This is a wonderful gift not only
to the Speed, but to the entire community.
I recently joined or renewed my Speed membership. When
should I expect to receive my membership cards?
You should expect to receive your membership cards within
two to four weeks. If you would like to visit the Speed
in the interim, simply present a photo ID at admissions
and our visitor services staff will look up your record.
I recently joined or renewed my Speed membership on the website.Can I still visit the Speed on the same day?
Yes. Print out your confirmation email and bring it
with you along with a photo ID and present it at the
admissions desk. You can get a temporary membership
card to use for the day.
What is the parking policy for members?
Members at the General Levels will receive the first
hour of parking free every museum visit during regular
public hours. To receive this benefit, members must
present their membership card and parking ticket at
the admissions desk for validation. For Art After Dark
and other museum-sponsored events beyond regular museum
hours, there will be a discounted pre-paid rate for
member parking. Members must present their membership
card to the attendant upon entering the garage. Discounts
cannot be given without membership card.
What if I have lost my membership card?
You can request a replacement card. To make a request,
call our Membership Department, send an email request
to info@speedmuseum.org,
or stop by our admissions desk. In the meantime you
can still visit the Speed by presenting a photo ID.
How
many guests can I bring to members-only events?
Member previews and events are special opportunities
for current members to view exhibitions prior to opening
to the public. Individual level membership allows entry
for one, while Dual level membership and above allows
entry for two adults.
Do
you have reciprocal membership with other museums?
Yes. Members at all levels receive reciprocal membership privileges to over 75 museums in the Southeastern Reciprocal Program (SERM) such as member admission and shop discounts. A full list of museums is available here. Members at the Reciprocal level and above receive reciprocal membership privileges to museums in the North American Reciprocal Programs (NARM) such as member admission and discounts. There are over 350 art museums in the program, including the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Indianapolis Art Museum. A full list of museums is available here.
Does
the membership run a calendar year (January thru December)
or from the date of purchase? Can renew my membership
early?
The membership is valid from the day of purchase for
one year. If you renew your membership early your expiration
date will be one year from the current expiration date.
You will not lose any time.
If
I buy a Dual level membership, can I designate the second
cardholder as a guest?
Yes, the second card would be considered a guest card.
With a guest card, you do not need to designate a specific
person, rather you can bring a friend with you at anytime.
If
I am an Individual member, can I bring a guest to a
member event?
Member events and previews are designed exclusively
for members. For just $30 more you can join at the Dual
level where you can bring a guest at any time as well
as any children or grandchildren 18 and under.
