October 5, 2017 at 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Discover new methods for facilitating conversations with artworks that can be easily translated from the Speed’s galleries to the classroom. During this PD session, you will learn a variety of techniques that will encourage students to look closely, engage in conversations, and explore ideas that will spark their own creativity.

Our professional development workshops are designed to provide K-12 teachers with resources and ideas that are original, easy to use, and in support of Core Learning Standards. These highly interactive sessions provide varied experiences, from large group discussions to individual explorations, to keep everyone engaged. Join us to explore how the Speed’s collection and special exhibitions can help your students discover connections between artworks and the world in which we live.

Teacher Testimonial: “Looking at different ways to create cross-curricular content through your activities challenged me to think in new ways about familiar content.”
