March 1, 2018 at 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Explore Impressionist masterpieces of the 19th century—both in the Speed’s collection and in the exhibition Women Artists in the Age of Impressionism. What makes a painting Impressionist? Our professional development workshops are designed to provide K-12 teachers with resources and ideas that are original, easy to use, and in support of Core Learning Standards. These highly interactive sessions provide varied experiences, from large group discussions to individual explorations, to keep everyone engaged. Join us to explore how the Speed’s collection and special exhibitions can help your students discover connections between artworks and the world in which we live.

Teacher Testimonial: “Looking at different ways to create cross-curricular content through your activities challenged me to think in new ways about familiar content.”
