Teacher Professional Development: Art Time Machine

April 12, 2018 at 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Compare artworks from the ancient world to the 20th century and discover how each artistic style expands on—and sometimes directly opposes—what came before it. We will explore similarities and differences between a variety of artistic movements, including Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism, and everything in between.

Our professional development workshops are designed to provide K-12 teachers with resources and ideas that are original, easy to use, and in support of Core Learning Standards. These highly interactive sessions provide varied experiences, from large group discussions to individual explorations, to keep everyone engaged. Join us to explore how the Speed’s collection and special exhibitions can help your students discover connections between artworks and the world in which we live.

Teacher Testimonial: “Looking at different ways to create cross-curricular content through your activities challenged me to think in new ways about familiar content.”
