Exciting contemporary art installations, a handsome pairing of early American decorative art objects, and a diverse permanent collection of fine art and objects are all yours in the 2008-2009 school year!
The Speed Art Museum is Kentucky’s oldest and largest art museum, with collections that span 6,000 years and encompass a variety of artistic styles. From European artworks to our African collection to art being made right now, the museum features artworks from a range of cultures and historical periods.

These educational web pages outline the exciting variety of permanent collections, special exhibitions, and public learning opportunities available at the Speed this school year. Our educational web pages also outline our thematic school tours and other teacher resources that help support educational initiatives within your classroom.

In addition to our school programs, the museum offers a vibrant year-round schedule of active and stimulating family programs. The museum's Laramie L. Leatherman Art Learning Center and Art Sparks Intaeractive Gallery provide an exciting multi-sensory environment for making connections to art and the museum's collection of fine art works.
