Does this chest of drawers look unusual to you? Why? With five drawers rather than the usual four, it’s larger than most. Its spidery feet and inlay are distinctive, too. These qualities relate this chest, and the sugar desk to your left, to a large group of furniture made by several cabinetmakers working in Mason, Fleming, and Lewis Counties in northeastern Kentucky
