In his second feature, Mindscape, an artist steps through his canvas into a landscape governed by symbolism and artistry (1976, Canada, video, 7 minutes).
In A Hunting Lesson, Drouin transforms a children’s book by Jacques Godbout into a visually stunning meditation on respect for nature and life. When the young Antoine asks his shadowy neighbor to teach him to hunt, he comes to discover a new perspective on life he had not held before (2001, Canada, video, 13 minutes). Recommended for 8+.
