Sally Cruikshank created some of the most vibrant, colorful and engaging animated films to be independently produced in the U.S. during the 1970s. Quasi at the Quackadero (1975, 16mm, 10 minutes) consisting of over 5,000 cels, took over two years to complete. In the film, Quasi takes a trip through the Quackadero, a Coney-Island-like sideshow. The film was inducted into the National Film Registry in 2009.

In her follow-up film Make Me Psychic (1978, 16mm, 8 minutes), Quasi discovers a device that allows one to tap into latent telekinetic powers. When it’s put into action at a party, mayhem ensues.
