Museum Ball Committee
Volunteers for this committee assist in the planning
and execution of the Speed Ball throughout the year.
Known as Louisville’s premiere ball held in
the museum, the Speed Art Museum Ball is known for
its spectacular floral arrangements, wonderful food,
and great music. The annual Ball raises over $100,000
for the museum.
Hattie Bishop Speed Concert Series
Volunteers are needed to take tickets, count patrons, hand out programs and assist with the box office at three concerts per year. The Speed Concert Series is presented with funds from the Hattie Bishop Speed Music Trust. For more than 65 years the Speed Concert series has presented classical music to Louisville audiences.
Art & Dialogues
Art and Dialogues is an exciting, educational, and thought-provoking series of programs that will take place at the Speed (when we re-open) and other venues throughout the community. In this series, the Museum will bring nationally and internationally recognized and influential art professionals – i.e. artists, critics, and curators – to Louisville. The goal of Art and Dialogues is to increase awareness, knowledge and appreciation for the most critical and stimulating ideas that are motivating the making, exhibiting and collecting of art. Volunteers are needed to assist with the program by greeting and ushering guests and assisting with check-in.
